Wine 1.1.42 is out, this version comes with many improvments and some new features like Support for shared 32/64-bit setups, dwarf debug info support for better backtraces, more standard actions supported in MSI, Support for TIFF image format in WinCodecs, a number of Direct3D

improvementsm Shell fixes for better Internet Explorer support. For more information about this new version see the change-log.

Wine allow you to run windows software and games on Linux operating systems.

Install latest version of wine :

• In Ubuntu via repository:

 sudo add-apt-repository ppa:ubuntu-wine/ppa

sudo apt-get update

sudo apt-get install wine
