According to a recent blog post from adobe, google and adobe are working on a single modern API for hosting plugins within the browser, the new plugin code-named “PEPPER” “aims to provide a layer between the plugin and browser that abstracts away differences between browser and operating system implementations.”

Google Chrome for Android vs Opera Mini
Today is the day! Finally my favourite browser Google Chrome has hit the Android Market; well, when I am already quiet in habit of its rivals Opera Mini and Mozilla’s Firefox on my android device. After working with the Chrome browser for the entire day I have gathered my impressions about the browser; what is good, what is yet to be improved. As I am mostly used to Opera Mini browser on my mobile devices, I shall compare the two browsers in my post.

The month that was for Browsers- in September
The month of September has been quite an eventful period for Browsers this year. First two of the leading browsers released their latest versions- Google’s Chrome 14 and Mozilla’s FireFox 7.0, on Sept 15. The surprise of the month, however, was an amazing new browser, by Amazon, called the Amazon Silk, which debuted on their new tablet, Kindle Fire. Amazon’s Silk browser runs on innovative split-browser technology, where, the entire browsing ecosystem is moved to their cloud-services.
Remote computer control through chrome extension
Remote computer control is a facility wherein a user from one computer can gain access to another computer on the same network. Now this has been made easy and hassle free by none other but Google. Google has recently released something called ‘Chrome Extension’ which does exactly the same. It is a browser based and is currently in its beta version. It works like a desktop software which is remote as far as its location is concerned, however giving complete access to the computers on the same network.

The Browser Race analysis, June 2011!
Gradually all the data from our desktops is moving into the cloud on the web. We seek to accomplish most of our day-to-day jobs (and rather trivial jobs) from preparation of document, presentations and spreadsheets to computation, media conversion, minor photo editing etc. via web-apps. As the web becomes the center of our daily computing, web-browsers turn out to be all the more important. Google Chrome released its latest version, version 12 earlier this June followed by Mozilla’s Firefox (controversially) version 5 later this June; official release dated 22 June. In this post I shall review the popular browsers of June 2011 and look at how web-browsers race is shaping up!
