Y PPA Manager comes with “Deep Search” feature

Today a new version of Y PPA Manager is out, this new version comes with  ”deep search”, a new feature that allow Y PPA manager to perform a deep search in all the Launchpad PPAs for the package you enter in the search form. The search uses the Launchpad PPA search so it may return empty PPAs if the PPAs have a description that matches your search, or a PPA with packages for a different Ubuntu version then your current Ubuntu version.

Ubuntu Tweak 0.5.8 is released, this versions comes with new tweaks and support for Natty and LinuxMint10. Now all the features under “Compiz Settings” can be function well under Natty: Workspace Edge Settings, Desktop ubuntutweaklogoEffects and Menu Effects.  With just one click, you can release the power of Compiz!. VirtualBox 4.0 is released ! New PPA for Ubuntu and Debian

Again another release from Oracle before the end of the year, this time is VirtualBox 4.0 who has been released . This new version features an improved user interface, as well as added virtual hardware support, virtualboxincluding for chip-sets supporting PCI Express and others. Other changes include increased capacity and throughput using a new asynchronous I/O model for networked (iSCSI) and local storage, and improved standards support with support for the Open Virtualisation Format (OVF), support more than 1.5/2 GB guest RAM on 32-bit hosts, Resource control: added support for limiting a VM’s CPU time and IO bandwidth and more.

Install XBMC Media Center 10 on Ubuntu 10.10 Maverick Meerkat and LinuxMint 10 Julia | PPA repository

XBMC 10 “Dharma” is released, this new release comes with many new features and  support to many new media formats, now XBMC play all of the current media formats available, including the new WebM/VP8 codec that is the latest buzz. Hardware acceleration has been added in windows (Vista or 7) via DXVA2, CrystalHD has been added for all platforms (best supported in OSX and Linux), VDPAU support has been improved in Linux, and VAAPI support has been added for the hardware that supports it in Linux.
