FlightGear is one of the most amazing and most important open source projects in existence. With a huge community around it, and a group of talented aviation lovers to develop it, FlightGear is the greatest and most open way to travel our world!
FlightGear 2.8 will be released on this August and the developers still the have time for many improvements and additions. One of the biggest things of this release will be the finishing (hopefully) and inclusion of the great enhancements that the Rembrandt Project will bring to the best open source flight simulator.
The FlightGear 2.6.0 has been released. The new released version contain a number of new features, improvements and bugfixes. according to the announcement, “the major improvements from v2.4.0 include reduced AI aircraft load times, easier graphics tuning, more sophisticated AI aircraft and improved usability.”
