Darktable is an open source photography workflow application and RAW developer. A virtual lighttable and darkroom for photographers. It manages your digital negatives in a database, lets you view them through a zoomable lighttable and enables you to develop raw images and enhance them. recently was released version 1.0 that comes with support to new cameras, new modules: shadows & highlight, enhanced tone curve ; refactored modules, new image cache and more.

Installation in Ubuntu and LinuxMint

Open terminal and enter the following commands:

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:pmjdebruijn/darktable-release
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install darktable

For other Linux distro, follow the installation instruction in the Darktable website
