Download Thunderbir

Once download process is complete, go to the download location and run following command to extract the downloaded file.

tar xvf thunderbird-38.1.0.tar.bz

Now go into the extracted directory by running.

cd thunderbird

Here run following command to install the latest version:

./run-mozilla.sh

That’s it, as soon as installation is complete, launch it from Applications >> Mozilla Thunderbird option.
