How to Run Tor Browser 4.5.2 on Ubuntu

First of all, download the latest tor release by running the following command on your terminal.

wget https://www.torproject.org/dist/torbrowser/4.5.2/tor-browser-linux32-4.5.2_en-US.tar.xz

Once the download process is complete, extract the downloaded file by running the following command:

tar -xvf tor-browser-linux32-4.5.2_en-US.tar.xz

Now, go to the newly extracted directory by running the following command:

cd tor-browser_en-US

Run following command here to initiate the Tor browser:

./start-tor-browser.desktop

“Tor Network Settings” window will be launched, click “connect” from here to imitate the connection with Tor network. If your computer network connection is already using any proxy, then you need to use “configure” button here to initiate the successful connection with Tor network.
