Thunderbird 6.0 has been released! PPA Ubuntu

thunderbird3Mozilla has released today Thunderbird 6.0, this new release of the the open source cross-platform email client and news reader comes with some new features and many bugs fix.

The latest version of Thunderbird has the following changes:

  • Thunderbird is based on the new Mozilla Gecko 6 engine
  • Several theme improvements for Windows 7
  • Support for Windows 7 Jump lists
  • Several fixes when importing email from Microsoft Outlook
  • Default mail client check now works with newer Linux distributions
  • Various other user interface fixes and improvements
  • Numerous platform fixes that improve speed, performance, stability and security

 

Installation of thunderbird 6.0 in Ubuntu and LinuxMint:

Mozilla Thunderbird 6 also available on PPA, you can install / Upgradeto this latest release via the following PPA  :

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:mozillateam/thunderbird-stable
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install thunderbird

Andrew look into your httpd.conf file at line no 350. There might be a syntax error.

hello I have this error

[root@cloud html]# /etc/init.d/httpd restart

then this appears

Starting httpd: httpd: Syntax error on line 350 of /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf: without matching section.

plz tell how to fix this.
