VLC 1.1.6 is released, this new released comes with small features and fixing important bugs and a security issues.vlc-logo

What`s new in VLC1.1.6?

  • Security updates in codecs and demuxers
  • Support for RTP/PCM 24bits, audio/L24
  • Support for MPC SV7/SV8 on Windows and MacOS builds
  • Faster Webm/VP8 decoding
  • Support for Midi on MacOS
  • Major updates in most language translations
  • Installation:

    - For Ubuntu and LinuxMint:

    Open terminal and type the following commands:


    sudo add-apt-repository ppa:ferramroberto/vlc
    sudo apt-get update
    sudo apt-get install vlc mozilla-plugin-vlc vlc-plugin-pulse

    -For other Linux distributions follow the link releated to your Linux distro for installation instructions:

    You can actually unzip your secret archive by leaving out the -t option, instead using:

    unzip newPhoto.jpg

    i try the method, and i unzip the image contain zip secret, i dont find the file that i was hide, where it go? and how to open it? :s
