VirtualBox 3.2.12 is released | PPA Ubuntu

VirtualBox 3.2.12 is released, This is a maintenance release that comes to fix some important known bugs , also some new features were added. Read the changeLog.

About VirtualBox:

“VirtualBox is a general-purpose full virtualizer for x86 hardware. Targeted at server, desktop and embedded use, it is now the only professional-quality virtualization solution that is also Open Source Software.“

Installation

The current release still not available yet in Ubuntu and Fedora repositories, but you can install it using .deb files for Ubuntu/LinuxMint and other debian linux distribution. For Fedora/RHEL/openSUSE use the .rpm package

• Ubuntu 10.10 (“Maverick Meerkat”) i386 | AMD64
• Ubuntu 10.04 LTS (“Lucid Lynx”) i386 | AMD64

• Debian 6.0 (“Squeeze”) i386 | AMD64
• Debian 5.0 (“Lenny”) i386 | AMD64

• openSUSE 11.3 i386 | AMD64
• openSUSE 11.1 / 11.2 i386 | AMD64

• Fedora 14 (“Laughlin”) i386 | AMD64
• Fedora 13 (“Goddard”) i386 | AMD64

To install VirtualBox 3.2.12 in Ubuntu 10.10 maverick meerkat / LinuxMint10, you need to add the non free repository(repositories not updated yet).

1-Open terminal and copy the command bellow :

sudo add-apt-repository "deb http://download.virtualbox.org/virtualbox/debian maverick non-free"

2- Add the verification key, Copy this command :

wget -q http://download.virtualbox.org/virtualbox/debian/oracle_vbox.asc -O- | sudo apt-key add -

3- Now update and install :

sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get install virtualbox-3.2
