TagPlayer – Play music based on the music's lastfm tags

Written by Mel Kham on . Posted in Software

TagPlayer is a Boffin like application. It allows the user to play music based on the music’s lastfm tags. It uses pylast for Last.fm API access, GStreamer for music playback and pyGTK for GUI. The project is developped using Quickly for fast prototyping.

I installed Tagplayer in LinuxMint10 Julia and worked fine, it is still Alpha but seems to be stable at least for me.

Install Tagplayer in Ubuntu:

Open terminal and enter the following commads:

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:hikibi/tagplayer
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install tagplayer

I wonder if there is a way to create your own themes.
