Pidgin 2.7.8 is out
Pidgin is a chat program which lets you log in to accounts on multiple chat networks simultaneously. This means that you can be chatting with friends on MSN, talking to a friend on Google Talk, and sitting in a Yahoo chat room all at the same time.
Pidgin runs on Windows, Linux, and other UNIX operating systems.

Download and install the last version
in Centis Centos . Download http://rpm.pidgin.im/centos/pidgin.repo to /etc/yum.conf.d/
in Fedora addd http://rpm.pidgin.im/fedora/pidgin.repo to /etc/yum.conf.d/
yum update and yum install pidgin
in Ubuntu installal via PPA https://launchpad.net/~pidgin-developers/+archive/ppa/+files/pidgin-ppa_0.0.4_all.deb
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install pidgin

Do you think that it works on a Macbook Air 1,1?… ohh and, it must be installed in a different partition than Mac OS X, right?… can´t have i installed only Ubuntu on my hard drive?
