Openoffice.org 3.3.0 Final is released!

Oracle Openoffice.org 3.3 final is released, this release comes one day after the release of LibreOffice3.3. Openoffice3.3 features, New Custom Properties openoffice_logoHandling, embedding of Standard PDF Fonts, New Narrow Font Family, increased Document Protection in Writer and Calc,  Automatic Decimals Digits for “General” format in Calc, now openoffice support 1 Million Rows in a Spreadsheet, new Options for CSV (Comma Separated Value) Import in Calc, Insert Drawing Objects in Charts.

You can install OpenOffice 3.3 from PPA (Still not updated yet), open terminal and enter the following commands:

1- First add repositories :

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:openoffice-pkgs/ppa

2- Update repositories

sudo apt-get update

3- Install OpenOffice.org :

sudo apt-get install openoffice.org

– If you are using Gnome Type the command:


sudo apt-get install openoffice.org-gnome

– If you are using Kde type the following:


sudo apt-get install openoffice.org-kde
