I’m surprised the GNOME 3 plugin didn’t really do anything except move the clock, move the location of the Activities button and rename it to Menu.

I’m using GNOME 3 on Fedora 16 right now, and just about everything looks the same.

MEah. I’m using Lubuntu or Xubuntu – only sane GUI left.

Looks horrible. Messing with Gnome Shell Mint will soon lose its deserved Distrowatch 1rst place. Why to spend time and energy trying to patch this unusable, resource-eating mess? The highest achievement of Mint 12 is nothing but a ghostly handicapped shadow of what is already there for ages in LXDE and Xfce (talking about living desktops), conspurcated by all the horrors of Gnome Shell. The fall of Mint started on the very day they achieved the peak.

Mint team tries hard to make Gnome 3 usable on desktop but it doesn’t really work. They shouldn’t have to do this. What kind of mushrooms Gnome team took before they decided to waste working environment and bring this touchscreen mess to our desktops? Did they really had to waste that previous work? Shrooms!
