Inkscape 0.48.1 is released, this bug-fix release of the SVG-based vector graphics editor contains over 80 bug fixes as well as improves stability and performance on all platforms.

About Inkscape:

“An Open Source vector graphics editor, with capabilities similar to Illustrator, CorelDraw, or Xara X, using the W3C standard Scalable Vector Graphics (SVG) file format.

Installation of Inkscape 0.481

• In Ubuntu 1010, 11.04 natty and LinuxMint:

Open terminal and type the following commands:

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:ricotz/ppa 

sudo apt-get update 

sudo apt-get install inkscape
