How to Stop Linux Firewalls ?

Question : The  Linux  Firewalls are  the  Iptables  and  ip6tables.

How  to  stop  them?

 

Answer :

 

To  stop  them with :

#service   iptables stop   or   /etc/init.d/iptables stop

and

#service   ip6tables stop  or /etc/init.d/ip6tables stop

To  stop   them permanentely  add this  commands

#chkconfig   iptables  off
#chkconfig  ip6tables  off

Check if  the  firewalls   are  stoppen with

#chkconfig  --list   |grep  tables

should  be  like   this   :

[root@test1 ~]# chkconfig   --list  | grep   tables
ip6tables       0:off   1:off   2:off   3:off   4:off   5:off   6:off
iptables        0:off   1:off   2:off   3:off   4:off   5:off   6:off
