What you need to do is to install ifstat tool,  from terminal run the following command

sudo apt-get install ifstat

Now  run ifstat

$ifstat
Output
eth0               wlan0               vmnet1              vmnet8
KB/s in  KB/s out   KB/s in  KB/s out   KB/s in  KB/s out   KB/s in  KB/s out
