GUI root login in Fedora 13

Question : How  to login as  root  from GUI in Fedora 13  (Gnome or  KDE)?fedora

{module Fedora 14}

Answer : First  go to /etc/pam.d

# cd /etc/pam.d/

Then make a backup of gdm file, in case if any  thing  goes  wrong you will have a backup of the original file.

cp gdm gdm.orig

Now edit   gdm file

 vi gdm

Find and Comment or remove this line into your gdm file :
auth required pam_succeed_if.so user != root quiet

- Then  make a backup of gdm-password file

cp gdm-password gdm-password.orig 

Now edit gdm password file:

#vi gdm-password

Find and Comment or remove this line into your gdm file
auth required pam_succeed_if.so user != root quiet

Save & Exit .

Reboot  and  login with  root.
