GhostBSD- Another freeBSD based system with Gnome desktop

Few days ago GhostBSD2.0 beta was released. This release  comes with bug fixes and many improvements on the look, feel and the speed. Some of things  that were introduced to this new release was  the new logo, New live cd file system, and improvements to GDM where there is no more white screens during booting. GhostBSD 2.0 is base on freebsd 8.2, and comes with latest software like Gnome 2.32, Rhythmbox 0.12.8_3, Pidgin 2.7.7, Firefox 3.6.13, Thunderbird 3.0.11 and more.

 

About GhostBSD

“GhostBSD it is a Gnome based  on FreeBSD distribution in the form of a live CD and installable versions. In future GhostBSD is being developed  to be a simpler  installable OS. The goal of this project  is to improve  the Gnome desktop environment  on a  FreeBSD system.”
