Written by Mel Kham on . Posted in Frequently Asked Questions

Question :

How  to  use the  fastest  mirrors  in  Linux  Debian Lenny?

Answer :

you  need  this  package   netselect-apt

Install netselect-apt in debian using the following command

#aptitude install netselect-apt

run  :

#netselect-apt -n lenny

do  download  the  fastest  mirrors  list  in your directory.

then copy it  to the  usual  list  directory   with  :

# cp ./sources.list /etc/apt/sources.list

now  run   update  of  our  system sources  with :

#apt-get  update
