This works like a dream, thank you for the heads-up!

seems like re-inventing the wheel.
would be better if it supported vanilla debian as ubuntu packages aren’t always compatible.

Installed and tried it…
By itself it is not a bad application. By itself it is useful and could even be called a "great tool" or what not.
But overall, the existence of this application comes, and the bigger issue it is (pathetically) trying to address is the fundamental application installation problem on Linux.

For example I want I install Wine 1.3.20. Eveinstaller is useles – I am back to square one, to some copy-pasta of some terminal codez found on Google.
Another question is how all these application will hold up when I upgrade to Mint Katya?

It doesn’t even come close to alleviating the problem.
On the other hand it exhibits is a big step forward in thinking (not that this application is or will be any influential) – finally a Linux installer that managed to abstract/get a concept of application instead of puking packages at you.

The fundamental Linux application installation issue aside, the interface is done in a typical retarded *n*x way – flying windows/dialogs/confirmations coming out of nowhere, misplaced and going hell knows where to.

I tried it and it works with a regular zip file, but if you password-protect the .zip file it does NOT work.
