PhotoFilmStrip is an opensource software that help you create movies out of your pictures in just 3 steps. First select your photos, customize the motion path and render the video. There are several output possibilities for VCD, SVCD, DVD up to FULL-HD. Creates animated slideshows.

 

The effect of the slideshow is known as “Ken Burns”. Comments of the pictures are generated into a subtitle file. Furthermore an audio file can be specified to setup the background musice for the slide show.

Installation (Newbies)

The easiest way to get PhotoFilmStrip running on a Debian based Linux ( Ubuntu , LinuxMint….) is to download the deb-package from the Download section. After downloading the file open it with the gdebi package installer, for dependencies all will be automatically installed. After that you have a new shortcut named PhotoFilmStrip in your Graphics section of your main menu.
